Gibson’s CS-356 is an evolution of the 336, a semi-hollow guitar with one-piece carved back, center block, and sides! A very versatile guitar, easily adapting to almost any style.
With a reduced body size (very similar to the 339), the weight balance and proportions are perfect. The ebony fretboard is another outstanding feature, resulting in a very resonant “woody”, warm sound (’57 Classics have a lot to do with this as well).
This unit is par of a Special Run of about 25 made for an important US Gibson dealer, and it has some unique features: hand-selected AAA top and a custom ordered 30 over 60 neck (midway between a chunky ’59 and a ’60 ST).
In exceptional mint/near mint condition, with very light wear (shown in pictures), the guitar honestly does look new. These are a hard find, specially from this run and in this color! Includes COA and OHSC. The pickguard is like-new and is also included, but was taken uninstalled for the pictures.
