Gibson ES-335 1963 Block Historic Reissue
This 335 from the Historic Collection is an exceptional recreation of the famous 1963 335, that featured block inlays (nice!) and a thin slim taper neck (very comfortable). Made in the Nashville Custom Shop.

We have been some time after one of these, but here it finally is: a Historic 335 '63 Block! It is an exceptional recreation of the famous 1963 335, that featured a series of interesting changes from the previous versions: block inlays (nice!) and a thin slim taper neck (very comfortable) like most Gibsons from the 60’s.
This great reissue respect the construction process as well, with a solid center maple block to avoid feedback and improve sustain. An exceptional guitar made famous by Clapton (among others), proving the enormous versatility of this instrument, making it a great option for styles from straight-on jazz to modern blues-rock.
It is part of Gibson’s Custom Shop Historic Reissue, built in Nashville. Not to be mistaken with Memphis versions (the more affordable 335 50th Anniversary ’63 Block, for example), which are not part of the Historic Collection and are built under different standards.
In a classic Vintage Sunburst (harder to find today, where Faded Cherry seems to be the only color around, though it is still availiable!), the guitar is in mint condition and shows very little -if any- evidence of having ever been played. Includes OHSC, COA and case candy. Built in 2009. And if you’re already wondering: no, these have no serial number stamped on the back of the headstock!
A great opportunity to get a top-notch 335 like this at an unrivaled price. And these aren’t very easy to get, by the way!
