This 1962 Fender Stratocaster has probably seen a few gigs (not many, but some), but somehow the original bill of sale is still there. Pretty incredible proof of provenance, and a great document to own alongside a guitar like this.

You can also understand why there’s some wear on this one. It sounds incredibly bell-y, with a great harmonic spectre in all 3 pickups. The guitar is pretty lightweight (3575gr) and resonates wonderfully. The veneer dark rosewood board is in very nice condition and has medium C neck which are imo the best Fender ever made.
Inside the case is the original bill of sale for this guitar, purchased at Sam Ash NY in early 1963 (the guitar is all dated 1962: pots, serial, neck stamp), with the detailed serial number matching the guitar’s. What a document that is for any serious collector!
The guitar is all original except for a 5-way switch at one point (it has the 3-way back on) and an extra string stree hole. The very tip of the original mint-green guard shrunk at one time and broke off, and it was rounded by a skilled guy (you’d never know if I didn’t tell you). The bridge pickup's terminals were reheated to solve a cold joint, no rewind and all original.
Includes a later (67?) Fender tailed logo case in fantastic condition.
Find another with such a solid provenance. :)
