This is the reason why the Telecaster sound became famous. This 1969 Fender Esquire will bring make anyone understand once and for all what this whole “twang” thing is really about.

Owned by a legendary Spanish rock musician, this guitar’s enormous tonal magic was envied by other players, but it finally managed to stay with us…

The fun of the Esquire over any Tele is that the guitar’s signal goes directly through the volume pot, bypassing the tone pot. This means pure Tele sound, no harmonic loss, nothing. Very raw, incredible. The middle position actually toggles the classic Telecaster bridge pickup setting, with the signal crossing through both volume AND tone pots. You can tell the difference right away.

The guitar is all-original except for a replaced pickguard. It shows quite heavy playwear with tons of mojo. Since it was in the surroundings of Cordoba, one of Spain’s driest regions, practically all the nitro has evaporated, checking incredibly and flaking easily in those areas exposed to buckle wear, waist wear, etc. It has tons of mojo and looks very beautiful.

Very light, by the way, 3219 grams (7lbs 1.5oz). Includes a later HSC Fender case.

This thing will blow you away, folks.
