Most of you probably already know Carr Amps. They have great selection of boutique, point-to-point amps, all made in North Carolina, USA. This is their first EL84-based amp, absolutely incredible for the studio (or home use) with a power rating of 3W. Three killer watts, that is. It has a very nice and rich clean channel (with a volume an tone selector), with certain similarity to the Deluxe or Vibrolux Reverb amps (more a the Champ/Princeton approach).
Then there’s an overdrive toggle switch, which engages an extra stage and a master volume knob. So yes, you can get great creamy or highly overdriven tones within bedroom level, or without the fear of breaking that expensive vintage mic in your studio.
The speaker is an Eminence ‘Lil Buddy 10’’.
Built like a tank, and definitely made to last.
