Here’s the mintiest Champ we’ve ever seen: a true museum piece or collector’s item, and without a doubt a Holy Grail of Rock ‘n Roll. A superb “time machine” example, this 1957 Champ is without a doubt one of the best preserved on the planet! 100% original to the last screw, with the “Lupe” inspection tape still looking so fresh it’s unbelievable!

The circuit has been checked point-to-point by a highly qualified tech, and we are happy to confirm it operates beautifully, without any caps leakage (amazing for such old capacitors) an within correct values after almost 60 years! The tubes are completely original, too (the tubes alone are a very hard find)!

Built entirely in 1957 (stamped “GK”, November 1957), key transitional year for the Champ (an 8’’ speaker replaced a 6’’). The tube chart (immaculate condition) shows the stamp and the serial number clearly (they both match the chassis, too). The same “GK” code is stamped on the speaker.

This is the classic “Layla” tweed tone we’ve heard throughout the decades in dozens of all-time classics. It is a truly UNIQUE piece of history, impossible to find in this condition, and will delight any tweed tone hound, collector, or museum visitors alike!

As you all know, examples like these aren’t seen every day, and we doubt another one like this will come by in many years. So this is your chance before we change our mind!
